First, ensure you have the 'Structure' app installed and up-to-date on your Parable iPad. The Sensor's native app will allow you to check and update the firmware version, view the Sensor's charge percentage, and see the data feed visualized from the Sensor. This will eliminate Sensor, firmware, and charge issues as possible causes.
If the Structure app does not detect the attached Sensor hardware, attempt the following troubleshooting steps to investigate further:
- to rule out issues with the state of the iPad: restart iPad
- to rule out low charge as a cause: charge structure sensor for 5-10+ minutes
- to rule out issues with the cable: try with another cable (borrowed from colleague) as a test
- to rule out iPad/OS issues: try with a different iPad if possible, ideally with a different OS version
